Ghanaian Musician Wendy Shay Exposes Colleagues for Stealing Her Melodies
Ghanaian musician Wendy Shay recently took to social media to express her disappointment with the behavior of certain colleagues in the music industry.
Through posts on her social media pages, the artist, who is signed to Rufftown Records, referred to some of her peers as thieves. She alleged that many of her colleagues had been appropriating the melodies of the songs she sent them for collaboration purposes. This was not the first time Wendy Shay had experienced such theft, prompting her decision to speak out.

In her own words, the “Survivor” hitmaker stated, “You send a song to a Ghanaian artist for a feature, and the next thing you hear is your melodies in their new song. This is the second time it’s happening to me… thieves! Ghanaian artists, wake up!”
Wendy Shay’s social media post shed light on her frustration regarding the appropriation of her musical ideas by other artists. By sharing her experience and urging her fellow Ghanaian musicians to be more conscious, she aimed to raise awareness about this issue within the industry.
