2023 BET Awards winners
The 2023 BET Awards took place on June 25, 2023, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. This annual award ceremony, organized by Black Entertainment Television (BET), celebrates the accomplishments of black performers and other minorities in music, movies, sports, and philanthropy. BET, a cable television network focused on African Americans, is owned by the Tyler Perry network.

During the televised portion of the 23rd edition of the BET Awards, six awards were presented. Latto accepted the award for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, while Coco Jones received the accolade for Best New Artist in person. Teyana Taylor’s mother, Nikki, accepted the award on her behalf and even FaceTimed Teyana during the broadcast to inform her that she had won Video Director of the Year.
In addition to the televised awards, fifteen non-televised awards were also given out. Among these, two high-profile ties occurred: Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” and SZA’s “SOS” tied for Album of the Year, while Chris Brown and Usher tied for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.
