The list also includes high-profile acts such as King Promise, Stonebwoy, Gyakie, Black Sherif, and KiDi.

While King Promise’s “Terminator” and Stonebwoy’s “Into the Future” were rightfully recognized as some of the biggest Ghanaian hits of 2023 so far, the most surprising aspect was the inclusion of 20-year-old rookie Olivetheboy, who managed to surpass established artists like Black Sherif, Gyakie, and KiDi.
Olivetheboy rose to prominence in May 2023 with the release of his hit single “Goodsin,” which quickly became the most Shazamed song across West Africa. The track gained popularity on TikTok after a challenge initiated by entertainer and influencer Endurance Grand. Chartmetrics reveals that Olivetheboy is the fastest-growing artist on Spotify, the fastest rookie to reach half a million views on YouTube, the most streamed and charted Ghanaian artist across West Africa, and currently the most listened-to Ghanaian creative in Nigeria.
Incredibly, Olivetheboy’s streaming numbers across various digital service providers overshadow all others, solidifying his position as the top-ranked Ghanaian artiste in 2023.
