Kumawood Stars Big Akwes and LilWin Clash on United Showbiz

Tensions escalated between Kumawood actors Big Akwes and Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin during the June 17, 2023, episode of United Showbiz on UTV. Both actors, along with other guests, participated in a panel discussion that took a heated turn when LilWin openly challenged a statement made by Big Akwes in a mocking manner.

Big Akwes had expressed his stance on charity work, specifically referring to musician Stonebwoy’s recent donation of boreholes to communities in the Western Region. He asserted that he personally chose not to engage in charity due to the attention and potential negative consequences it may bring. According to him, individuals who publicize their acts of kindness often end up regretting it.

LilWin interrupted, accusing Big Akwes of being a hypocrite and a liar. He challenged his fellow actor to provide evidence to support his claims. In response, Big Akwes, infuriated by the comment, resorted to using abusive language.

He went on to explain his decision to cease doing charity work, citing a past experience involving an orphanage near Offinso. Big Akwes claimed that after he donated provisions to the orphanage on November 24, 2015, he discovered they had sold off the donated items at a shop just three days later. This incident led him to swear off charity work altogether.

The intense exchange between the two actors nearly escalated into a physical altercation, prompting the host, MzGee, to call for a break during the show.
