Edemfest 2023’s Unprecedented Musical Experience
Ghanaian artist Edem ushered in the festive season with his annual extravaganza, Edemfest, held at Ho Jubilee Park on November 18, 2023, setting the stage for a lively December.
The event, attended by an impressive fifty thousand patrons, featured Edem’s performance with an octet band and three backing vocalists, complemented by MixMaster Garzy and the Goget’em Band.
Noteworthy artists such as Epixode, Tinny, Kelvynboy, Jupitar, and DJ Lord delivered electrifying performances, contributing to the event’s success. Edem expressed his enthusiasm, emphasizing his commitment to providing fans with an unforgettable experience after numerous postponements due to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Edem, aiming to offer a unique experience, incorporated a heavy-set performance with the octet band and backing vocalists, a first in his region. The audience responded enthusiastically, actively engaging with the music until Edem concluded his set at 5 am.
Bernard Dziwornu, the Events and Projects Lead for VRMG, highlighted the substantial success of Edemfest 2023, attributing it to the fruitful collaboration with DreamChild’s HoodTalk edition. Richard Marrio Hude, responsible for event flow and curation, ensured a seamless and satisfying experience for fans, while Edem’s road assistant emphasized the event’s support for the region and the promotion of local culture.
Edemfest 2023 featured a philanthropic partnership with the Dream Child Foundation, dedicated to impactful work for children in the region. George Wiredu Duah, head of Brands, Public Relations, and Corporate for VRMG, acknowledged the support from sponsors such as Lamborghini energy drink, Pay Angel, Fertagro, Coca Cola, and Virtual Hub, contributing to the event’s excellent production design and delivery.
