Makola Market Women’s Dance Video Moves Burna Boy to Billboard Tribute

Nigerian musician Burna Boy recently expressed his heartfelt appreciation for a group of dancing women from Makola market by featuring them on a billboard near the market. This meaningful gesture was inspired by a viral TikTok video created by the renowned Ghanaian dancer, Official Starter.

Official Starter is well-known for joining the spirited market women and choreographing lively dances to popular songs. Their most recent collaboration showcased the women dancing with great enthusiasm to Burna Boy’s latest song, ‘City Boys,’ which is part of his recently released album, ‘I Told Them.’

The video quickly gained widespread attention, highlighting the infectious joy for music and dance that these women exude. Touched by their spirit and passion, Burna Boy decided to express his gratitude by displaying their images on a prominent Makola billboard.
