Ghanaian award winning dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. popular known as Shatta Wale has finally launched Shaxi which happens to be a ride-hailing service.
Shaxi, an acronym for Shatta Taxi is an initiative by Shatta Wale to reduce the unemployment rate in Ghana. According to a tweet by him, “Shatta Movement fans are going to be employed. The youth are going to be employed, the street [boys] are going to be employed, yes we all can play a role in reducing the unemployment rate. It’s coming to #SHAXI,”
The inauguration took place at Alisa Hotel in Accra and saw some great celebrities like Fella Makafui, Medikal, Bola Ray etc.
The Shaxi is currently available on Playstore and App Store for free download. Let’s all support this initiative
