He made this remarks in an interview on Youtube where he added that one of those songs is the one he composed to honour his late mother titled ‘Ama Esah’.
Those close to me know that I am very emotional, so, I have a lot of songs such as one that I composed for my mother, Ama Esah, that I can’t perform on stage even if you kill me. Because if I sing it, I would be compelled to stop and leave the stage, he said.
Daddy Lumba was also questioned about his hit song ‘Theresa Abebrese’, where he revealed that Theresa, a virtuous woman he has never met her calibre in this world was a very pretty, empathetic, smart and kind.
According to him, Theresa’s type of a woman is no longer in this world and that breaks his heart whenever he hears the music ‘Theresa Abebrese’ plays.
Interestingly, he mentioned that his song ‘Theresa Abebrese’ is also a song he hasn’t been able to perform on stage due to his emotional traits but looks forward to performing it one day.
Looking at how pretty, how empathetic and how smart she was and knowing that a woman of Theresa’s calibre is no longer in this world, I feel pained whenever I play the song. I’ve never been able to perform It on stage before, but I will do well to perform it one day in her honour, he added.
