Westline Entertainment Announces Nominees for Western Music Awards (WMA)2023
The 7th edition of the prestigious Western Music Awards, organized by Westline Entertainment, a subsidiary of Westline Consult Limited, has nominated a total of 101 artists and stakeholders from the Creative Arts Industry in the Western and Western North Regions. The theme for this year’s awards is ‘This is Music.’

During the nominee’s announcement broadcasted on Westline TV on YouTube, Nana Kwesi Coomson, the head of Public Relations of Western Music Awards, revealed that there are 30 categories in total. A new category called “Unsung” has been introduced, which focuses on discovering music talents from Senior High Schools (SHS).
Entertainment Masters from selected SHSs in the Western Region were brought on board to nominate the best talents to represent them. This initiative aims to provide support to these talented individuals at an early stage and introduce them to an audience, ensuring they won’t struggle after completing their education.
In the flagship category of “Artiste of the Year,” Aya Ramzy B, the reigning champion, will compete against five other artists: KDM, Lasmid, Fameye, Ayesem, and Kweysi Swat.
